MailTail v1.0.0 is here. Simple email signature management for Microsoft 365, without the enterprise pricing or complexity.
Why I built this
I've spent over 10 years in IT infrastructure. I'm certified across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and PowerShell.
Every time I needed to set up email signatures for a team, the options were the same: expensive enterprise tools like Exclaimer or CodeTwo, complicated setups, and pricing that didn't make sense for smaller organisations.
So I built something better. MailTail is a one-person operation. Simple tool, fair price, no nonsense.
What's in v1.0.0
- Visual signature editor with drag-and-drop components
- Entra ID sync for names, titles, phone numbers, and photos
- Group assignments so different teams get different signatures
- Outlook add-in for desktop and web
We only request read access to basic directory info. No access to emails, calendar, or files.
What's coming next
Outlook mobile is the top priority. Microsoft's mobile add-in support is limited, but I'm actively working on solutions.
Shared mailbox support is also on the roadmap for the next few months.

About AppSource
I've been trying to get MailTail listed on the Microsoft AppSource store. So far, Microsoft keeps declining the application because we're not a large operation. I'll keep pushing. In the meantime, the add-in installs directly from our platform and works exactly the same.
